Henri Léon GREBER Carved marble group “THE BIRTH OF THE SPRING,” signed H GREBER, 1917, 2nd proof H: 50 cm - W: 65 cm – D: 36 cm (signs of wear) History: One of the versions created for the decorative fountain “La naissance de la source,” exhibited at the 1905 Salon thanks to a fundraising campaign by the Société des Amis de l’Art de l’Oise. This model was also exhibited during the retrospective of the artist’s works in 1923 at the Beauvais City Hall.
