A tribute to Farid ud-Din Attar (c.1145-c.1221), "Attar" by his pen name, is one of the most recognized Persian mystic poets. He was made famous by his poem "Manteq au-Tayr" ("The Conference of the Birds") which tells the story of the journey and quest of a group of birds (symbolized on this lithograph).
