Top with grid stitch manipulation on the upper body front and back. No sleeves. Using a double layer of fabric and top stitches matching a grid design that includes a 6mm metal ball and padding to create a weighted effect. The deep pressure exerted by the weighted vests has a "calming and organizing" effect on the body's proprioceptive system. (Weighted vests are generally recommended by therapists for use in the classroom to increase attention span and reduce hyperactivity often seen in children with autism, ADHD, sensory and learning disabilities. The grid manipulation includes a mix of recycled materials to create a cushioned effect.
