MONS, circa 1741 Silver sugar bowl. Mons, goldsmith : crowned lion head in profile, probably 1741 (decanal letter V ?). It consists of a circular tray with molded contours and chiseled descent of channels, standing on four feet with scrolls. In the center, the baluster stem and the double consoles with scrolls support the openwork bowl with quartefoils and navettes, with a poly-lobed edge molded with openwork fillets and eight cavities serving as spoon holders. Slight deformation of the upper part (leaning). Height. Height : 15 cm. Gross weight : 385.90 g.
