MASSE, PARIS, 1708-1709. Silver JATTE. Paris, attributed to Jacob Masse (received 1704), possibly 1708-1709 (letter-date P). Of circular, poly-lobed form, it is molded with fillets and decorated with pinched odds and ends. It is engraved in the center with a coat of arms stamped with a baron's tortil (?) surmounted by an empanelled helmet tared three-quarters: dexter, azure, a chevron argent between three escallops, two in chief and one in base; sinister, fess azure and argent, a mullet at the top. Wear, deformation of base and decoration, traces of soldering. Height Height : 5.5 cm. Diameter: 25.5 cm. Weight : 467.20 g.
